Dieter lived in France for six years and visits Paris and French wine regions annually. He is a certified educator and sommelier and principal of Hospitality & Wine Education (winedieter.wordpress.com) with 40+ years of restaurant industry and teaching experience acquired in 12 countries in Europe, Africa, Middle East, and North America.
Seattle’s French Fest also offers an exclusive new activity for adults 21+, a wine tasting hosted by J Wines, French wine import company led by French expat Julien Hervet. The tastings will feature wines from “Bernard Magrez Vignobles,” a world renowned premier winemaker with 40 vineyards worldwide, and “Les vins de mes amis,” from up and coming winemakers, rarely imported in the US. Only a limited number of tickets to the exclusive tastings will be available. Complimentary nibbles, including the premium Jambon de Bayonne, will accompany the wine tastings. Tasting fees: $15-25. Wine Tour de France Seminar and French Wine Tastings are part of Seattle’s 4th Annual French Fest: A Celebration of French-Speaking Cultures on Sunday, March 20, 2016 from 11:00 am-6:00 pm at the Seattle Center Armory. The festival is a free, family-friendly event open to the public with the purpose of promoting and raising awareness of Francophone cultures and traditions to the residents of the Greater Seattle area. During the one-day event, festival-goers will listen to live music, watch dance performances, taste international cuisine, learn from informative seminars and cooking demonstrations, play games and enjoy a day full of fun activities en français!
